Appointments

You may call our office during business hours to schedule an appointment. Have your insurance information available when you call to schedule your appointment so that we can help confirm whether your insurance will be accepted.

We ask that established patients arrive at least ten minutes prior to your appointment to allow us time to confirm your information and copy your insurance card. New patients should arrive at least 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment to complete necessary medical history forms.

Confirmation & cancellation

You will receive a call from our appointment reminder system reminding you of your upcoming appointment. We have reserved time on the provider’s schedule for you so if you are unable to keep your appointment, please call our office 24 hours in advance so we can use this time for another patient needing care. If you fail to give us notice of your cancellation, the following policy is enforced:

• First missed appointment: No charge
• Second missed appointment: $25.00 charge
• Third missed appointment: $25.00 charge and possible dismissal from Novant Health Salem Family Medicine

After hours support

Our after hours support is provided by a nurse triage service. If you have an urgent need outside our regular hours, call our main number, 336-718-7800, and stay on the line after the automated message. A nurse will assist you quickly and has access to our schedule should you need an appointment the next day.
